Daughter in Arms

As the shards of glass fell down

With a boom that shook the ground

A man fell down in silence

With his daughter in his arms

The quake erased the house

For there was nothing left

Except for the silence

That filled the air with depth

Surely, he thought, this was the end

There was no clear solution

He layed there with his daughter

Surrounded by pollution

One night went by but nothing changed

It all remained the same

A man sitting out in the cold

With his daughter in his arms

But little did he know

Beyond his own attention

There was a huge foundation

Who raised money beyond mention

And so the man was saved

With his cheerful loving charm

He accepted all the money

With his daughter in his arms.
